# Bandwidth SMS Integration with Novu

> Connect Bandwidth to Novu to send SMS notifications through workflows. Store your Bandwidth username, password, account ID, and sender in the Novu dashboard.

You can use the [Bandwidth Messaging API](https://dev.bandwidth.com/docs/messaging/) to send SMS messages through Novu.

## Getting started

You need a Bandwidth account with messaging enabled, API credentials, and a phone number or sender ID that Bandwidth allows for your account.

1. Log in to the [Bandwidth Dashboard](https://dashboard.bandwidth.com/).
2. Create or copy an API user **Username** and **Password**.
3. Copy your **Account ID**.
4. Confirm you have a number or sender assigned for outbound SMS.

## Creating a Bandwidth integration with Novu

1. Visit the [Integrations](https://dashboard.novu.co/integrations?utm_campaign=docs-sms-bandwidth) page on Novu.
2. Click **Add a provider**.
3. Locate **Bandwidth** under the SMS section and click **Connect**.
4. Enter your:
   * **Username**
   * **Password**
   * **Account ID**
   * **From** (Bandwidth phone number in E.164 format, or an allowed sender ID)
5. Confirm **Active Integration** is on. New integrations start active by default.
6. Click **Create Integration**.

You can now send SMS notifications with Bandwidth through Novu.

  Bandwidth is marked beta in Novu. Verify delivery in both Novu activity and the Bandwidth dashboard when you first connect.
