Telnyx

Learn how to use the Telnyx provider to send sms notifications using Novu

You can use the Telnyx provider to send transactional emails to your customers using the Novu Platform with a single API to create multi-channel experiences.

Setting up Telnyx

Get your API Key
  1. Log into your Telnyx account
  2. Navigate to Account Setting
  3. Go to Keys & Credentials
  4. Copy your existing API key or create a new one by clicking "Create API Key"

Make sure the API key's status is showing as active before using it.

Get your Message Profile ID
  1. Navigate to Messaging to find the profiles 2. Create a Telnyx Messaging Profile if you haven't already (learn more) 3. Go to the active Messaging Profile 4. Copy the profile ID
Prepare your From Address

A valid from address must be one of: - A valid phone number in +E.164 format - A short code - An alphanumeric sender ID that: - Is 1-11 characters long - Contains only ASCII letters, numbers, and spaces - Has at least one letter

Connect Telnyx to Novu
  1. Visit the Integrations page on Novu
  2. Click the "Add a provider" button
  3. Locate Telnyx and click on the Connect button
  4. Enter your:
    • Telnyx API Key
    • Message profile ID
    • Valid From address
  5. Click on the Disabled button and mark it as Active
  6. Click on the Save button

Now you can send notifications using Telnyx in Novu.
